The Caldwell Model Train Club was started by a group of men and women who enjoy the hobby or model railroading and anyting associated with trains; watching, taking pictures and riding the rails.
They met for the first time at the Sunrise Cafe Restaurant in Caldwell, Idaho on January 19, 2005 and agreed that they wanted to form a club. Two weeks later, they met again and elected a president, secretary, and treasurer.
Their next meeting was February 23rd in their first clubhouse, on the 3rd floor of the Eagles Lodge in downtown Caldwell.
The founding members were Bill and Helen Stobie, Randy Fee, Dave Wilson, Joe Bell, Marvin Dennis, Joe Pierson, Mike Sinnott, Duane Smith, and Gary Swope.
